Trauma of the Field
We had the ever-so sucky Saturday classes today! Yeah. It was only now that I realized that November is actually the month wherein we had Saturday classes straight (except the 'sem-break' that we had)
We had the oh-so-great human carousel a while ago for Physics class. We did it in the field for us to enjoy. I was really looking forward to have fun and all and I had--this was during the 1st round. For the 2nd round, Sheila refused to be on the carousel's end part so we switched. I was hesitant at first because our teacher told us to have the most sporty members of the patrol on the carousel's ends. Of course, with Sheila's mataray tone na (ikaw-naman-lagi-akong-nahihirapan-like), I just passively agreed to her even though I know that I don't really run fast and the only sport I play is swimming--which is so unrelated to running. Wow, you know what happened?! What happened?!
Imagine that terrifying moment. I was on shock, honestly. What the heck. Habang ako'y tumilapon, my groupmates were enjoying the fun of the human carousel. Me, desiring to act as if nothing had happened, stood up. My knees were trembling and I was on the verge of crying because it really hurt. It really hurt. If only my Physics teacher didn't approach me, I'd run crying to the clinic. Pero totoo, na-trauma talaga ako sa nangyari kanina.
The school nurse is really not at all accommodating to high school students. You know what she did to my wound (which by the way, looks like raw tocino, ulk.)? She applied Betadine on my skin kahit may mga lupa-lupa pa from the field. She did not even dress it! She did not even washed it! At sabi pa niya: Tama na yung konti lang para madaling matuyo. Nurse ka ba?! Grrrrr.
I can't bend my knees and it's really difficult for me to sit down properly. The right side of my body aches like hell. I've got an ugly wound on my right knee, and a big scratch on my the right side of my hips.
This is the first and last time that I'm going to have a bloody wound na butas-butas pa, ampf.! I'm not going to run on the field again.
Not anymore.
**by the way, I'm for Oral Spelling Bee again this English Week. I'm doing a double-body event: Oral Spelling Bee and Myth Making. :D But I'm not yet sure since Zorina (last year's winner for the Spelling Bee is doing it again. I'm going to scan the dictionary because I want a sure-win for Pananagutan. :D)
